Fantasy Game Characters

"Ember Skye is a fed up teenage Coal Elf with a big ashy chip on her shoulder. Having been torn away from a carefree life and forced into a world of dirt and darkness has started to get the best of her. And being the only girl-elf working as a coal miner at the North Pole doesn't help much either! (...)"

The Coal Elf is a very valuable book that has an important place in my professional career. I read the whole book with pleasure through its drafts before I started thinking about its cover. I liked it very much. Before I started drawing about the book, I can say that I experienced events and people in my mind. Ember had become someone I knew when I started to draw. It was not difficult to prepare drafts afterwards. After the book was finished A Night's Dream of Book had very good comments about my cover work. You can learn more about that beautiful comments by clicking here, that directs the news part of this website. Maria DeVivo the creator of The Coal Elf, was honored with this book at the 2013 New York Book Festival for her excellent narrative, editing, and relentless efforts.

Also, a coloring and activity book for The Coal Elf Chronicles was created using DeVivo's work and my drawings. So I signed a joint book with Maria DeVivo. He is one of the valuable writers that I am really happy and proud to work with.

The Coal Elf Chronicles consists of 3 books in total. The covers of all 3 books belongs to me:
1. The Coal Elf
2. The Rise of Sturd
3. Above The Ash

Sketches and Steps:

.
3 sketches were studied before the original. I think we went over the correct option. That was my favorite. My first sketches are always rough sketches. Once we decide on one of them, I keep playing with that sketch for a long time.

Acknowledgments

From the first pages of the book:
When I picked up the book when it was printed and started turning the pages, I was pleased to know that I was working with the right people once again. Pretty pleasant surprise. Actually, sometimes everything is for a little smile in life.
